Gillies & Mackay are known throughout Scotland for production of high quality buildings, their garden sheds are no exception.
Although Gillies & Mackay can provide you with a building of any specification to meet your needs, there are two standard specifications, Standard Garden Shed and Heavy Duty Garden Shed. The specification for each is as follows:
Standard sheds are available in sizes up to 10' x 6', for larger sheds we recommend a Heavy Duty Garden Shed. Standard sheds are constructed with 2 x 1 1/2" framing in the walls and roof, and clad in 14mm redwood weatherboard. The roof is covered with a tear resistant, heavy duty polyester based roofing felt, which will allow your building to give many years of waterproof service. The floor of the shed is constructed with 19mm tongue & groove flooring on 3" x 2" bearers. All buildings are treated with one coat of Butinox No1 wood stain.
Heavy Duty sheds are available in any size required. They are clad in 19mm redwood weatherboard, on buildings over 10' x 8' the framing is increased in size, from 2" x 1/2" to 3" x 1 1/2" in the walls and roof.
Gillies & Mackay pride themselves on the production of high quality buildings at reasonable prices. Unlike many manufacturers that use inferior materials to keep costs down, Gillies & Mackay rely on only three methods to keep costs down; bargaining with suppliers, buying in bulk and efficient work practices.
