Gillies & Mackay are known throughout Scotland for production of high quality buildings, their summerhouses are certainly no exception. Although Gillies & Mackay can provide you with a building of any specification to meet your needs, they currently offer a range of standard summerhouses:

All summerhouses are of the same construction, regardless of style chosen, using 70mm x 40mm finished CLS framing to provide a neat finish, and clad with 19mm redwood weatherboard. The use of redwood gives not only a nice finish to the building but also a smoother feel. The roofs of summerhouses are redwood tongue & groove and are covered, as standard, with a tear resistant, heavy duty polyester based roofing felt, optionally felt tiles can be used. All buildings are treated with one coat of Butinox No1 wood stain. You must re-treat your building as soon as possible following delivery.

It is recommended, but not required, that you provide a slabbed base for your summerhouse, as this makes it looker neater all round and provides a solid, sound base for the summerhouse.

Gillies & Mackay pride themselves in the production of high quality buildings at reasonable prices. Unlike many manufacturers that use inferior materials to keep costs down, Gillies & Mackay rely on only three methods to keep costs down; bargaining with suppliers, buying in bulk and efficient work practices.
