Yes, painting is an absolute must. Scandinavian Redwood is a soft timber and must be preserved against the elements. It’s your G&M’s raincoat and sun cream to stop damage occurring to the timbers. Sadolins Quick Dry range is transparent to allow you to see the timber grains through the paint whilst the tint offers UV protection.

It comes down to allowing your building to settle in its environment after assembly and our capacity.

So you’re finally getting around to changing the look in your garden. You’ve gone from the brown natural look to 50 shades of grey.

It may take a few coats to get it looking prim and proper, the way you like, but changing the colour of your G&M is totally do-able.

First of all, check the back of the shed for that old paint tin for the colour! Failing that, you're in good hands...

Your colour choice will be on your order form so make sure to keep that handy throughout your G&M’s life. Call it your G&M’s Birth Certificate.

Paper or digital representations of colours do not show the true form of paint colour well.

The best representation of colour is on the painted building which we’ve shown you in the colour chart. If the tones slightly vary from image to image, this is due to LIGHTING. The way the light hits the building and at what angle will vary the colour.

If the sun hits directly on a panel the colour will show up lighter and brighter.

If there’s a shadow on the panel or clouds overhead from the photo the colours will show up darker.

Every year, we pick our Sadolin Colour Range based on very scientific studies and a complex behavioural analysis… (nah, just kidding – we pick the ones we like!)

However, out of the fantastic 11 we have for you, you might prefer something that is a different shade or colour.

The best solution to this is to pick the colour we have that’s closest to what you’d like. We will do your base coat in the workshop in our Sadolin colour, whilst you can do your second coat in any colour you like! And you can change the colour whenever you fancy because Sadolin have a massive endless supply of colours.

Just make sure you’re sticking to either Superdec OR Quick Dry as one is Opaque and the other is Translucent.
