Let’s get one thing straight: you are under no obligation to buy at a Garage Consultation. Their primary purpose is to explore what’s possible for your project based on the information you give us.
Why should I book a Garage Consultation?

There’s one very good reason that we encourage you to come and talk to us about your project. Garages can be complicated. They’re large custom buildings created for each customer according to their specific needs. There are tons of variables to consider.
You may have seen that we have price estimators for some of our products. We don’t have this option for Garages because there are simply too many potential customisations to take into account.
How does a Consultation solve this problem?
It’s simple. You’ll talk to an expert who knows our products inside out. They can tell you instantly if planning permission is likely to be part of the project, or give you three or four different options for door and window options. Maybe you need a partition or a different flooring material. Perhaps your roof will need reinforcement. You might have a natty idea for a canopy or a carport. They’ll let you know whether you need guttering or whether this is something you can do without. They’ll also have a wealth of ideas and examples of Garages that you’ve never even considered.
You can tell them all about your site, your plans for the building and your budget. They’ll work with you to create a plan that suits you perfectly.

Will a Consultation pressure me into exceeding my budget?

You might assume that custom projects involve persuasion to spend as much money as possible without understanding how the prices work. Nobody wants to feel that they’re being ripped off. And we don’t want you to feel that way, either. That’s why we write blog posts like this one, and include our prices on our website where they’re easy to find and understand.
The main thing that happens at a Garage Consultation is that someone from our Sales Team helps you to design a building that suits your budget. It could be that you don’t need that third window.
These aren’t negotiations about how much things cost – the price of your building depends on the features you decide you need. But your idea of exactly what you need may not be the only way to plan the building, which is exactly why our experts are the best people to ask.
Our Team will be upfront with you from the start about how much everything will cost. If they can’t give you exact figures they’ll give you a ballpark figure and confirm final costs as soon as they can. They won’t try to convince you to part with your hard-earned cash for no good reason, and won’t suggest upgrades without explaining their benefits and pointing out that they come with an extra charge.
What happens after a Consultation?
Once you’ve discussed all the features you need in your building, our Team will draw up a quotation for the project you’ve agreed on. This will list the size of the building, any additional features you’ve asked for, and will have a basic drawing to illustrate the positions of doors and windows.
If you need a Garage base or you want to install electricity in your building, we’ll also put you in touch with our accredited partners. They’ll carry out a site visit, agree with you about the work that will happen and send you a quote. After this, we’ll take care of all the communication and arrangements with them to make sure that everything runs smoothly.
Once you have all the costs, a 30% deposit will secure your delivery slot. All that’s left is to wait patiently (or impatiently) for your project to get started!
What if I change my mind about my building after my Consultation?

That’s no problem. Customers often go away and think about what they’ve discussed, then change their mind about some aspect of the project. This could be about getting the best for your budget. Maybe you want to upgrade the cladding instead of fitting electrics. It may just be a change of preference about the layout or features you’ve discussed.
If you do change your mind, or a new idea occurs to you, simply email our Team and let them know your thoughts. They’ll get back to you with any revised costs or advice, and make any changes to your quote.
How do I book a Consultation?

You can book a Garage Consultation on our website. We have options for in-person, phone and video Consultations, so you can choose whichever suits you best. While it’s great to come and see the buildings in person, it may be more convenient for you to make a phone call or video call instead.
You can also choose whether to talk to Cara or Kieran, or simply choose whoever is available first. Both Cara and Kieran have tons of successful Garage projects under their belts. They’re fully-equipped to deliver your Garage dreams, whatever they may be.
Once you choose the time and date that suits you and enter some information, you’ll share some information about your project. This gives Kieran or Cara an idea of what you have in mind so they’re fully prepared for your Consultation.
After you submit this information, you’ll receive a confirmation email, with the date and time of your appointment. If you’ve chosen a video call we’ll include the link, all ready for clicking on the day.
What if I have to cancel my Consultation?
If you find that your plans have changed, check your confirmation email. You can use the link in here to change the time of your Consultation or cancel the appointment. If you can’t find the email, give us a call to let us know you need to change your time. Please make sure that you let us know as soon as you can.
What happens at a Garage Consultation?

As you can see, there’s nothing to worry about. Garage Consultations are a no-obligation opportunity for you to discuss your project with a member of our Team. They’ll bring their wealth of experience and expert eye to your ideas, and work out the best way to deliver these within your budget.
You’ll leave with answers to all of your Garage-related questions, all ready to make the next best step for you and your garden.
