After considering various shed suppliers in the area I am so pleased that I decided upon Gillies & Mackay. From my initial discussion with Kieran to installation I was very impressed. The advice given, even before I committed to buy, was streets ahead of that from other competitors and the willingness to conduct a site visit was hugely appreciated, particularly as I wanted the shed jnstalled in a relatively narrow space. Ross was very helpful at the site visit and he and his colleague installed my 12×5 shed on time and with minimal fuss. The end product is a sturdy, well built shed that I am sure will last for many years. The price was highly competitive in view of the build quality including a metal roof, guttering, shelving and thicker more durable wood as standard.

Excellent quality built sheds (I bought two a couple of years apart) one for gardening tools, push bike etc while the other a slightly larger one to use as a hobby workshop. I prepared the ground bases my self (all part of the fun of delivering the project, hard work though), and upon arrival the shed builders refined the finished level to ensure accurate setting. The sheds came with a coat of paint already on them but I gave them both a second coat as recommended by G&M to ensure warranty conditions were met and longevity. I an more than pleased with the build and quality of my sheds and I am pretty sure they are both going to out live me. The very presence of my sheds (hobby shed in particular) incite me to get out of the house and involve myself in my gardening and carpentry hobby. Could not be happier with my purchases and service I received from G&M. I am now toying with idea of creating a canopy between them so as to enable the space between them to also be used during inclement weather.

I’m delighted with my potting shed from Gillies & Mackay Ltd. Each stage of the process ensured the successful outcome. I had a consultation at HQ in January to discuss what I was looking for and see the various sheds / options in person. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. A site visit was organised to confirm that the old patio base was going to be suitable for my new potting shed and finally, the build itself went smoothly.
I was able to specify a bench height to suit me (at 5’3” short) so that I’m working at the perfect height. The same with my shelves on the back wall to accommodate the things I want to keep in the potting shed. These details made all the difference.
After care has been excellent too with emails linking to articles on the G&M website to get the best out of my #shedlife and the all important advice on how to take care of my shed in the next few weeks and for the years to come.
I love that the shed is totally constructed out of timber, it smells amazing when you open the door. I chose the Hudson Bay colour, looks fabulous too.

Very pleased with my new shed. I got a smallish one, but perfectly formed. Good quality and feels really solid. Good that G&M give a base coat on the exterior of the shed. Now fully painted and looking great.

It is over 10 years since I purchased a shed from G&M Ltd. Since then I have been involved in helping friends and relatives in their choice of sheds and shelters with mixed results.
